The purpose of the publication of Landscape Maintenance Productivity Standards is to be an indication of the productivity rate of landscape maintenance work.

In particular, the publication of standards is intended to serve as a basic guide to implementing agencies, especially the Local Authorities, to monitor the implementation of landscape maintenance works. This standard can also be used as a reference and guide to contractors and all individuals involved in landscape development to ensure that the quality of landscape maintenance work performed is of the highest quality.
